This page is for prospective Tycoon users who are part of HP. If you are non-HP, follow the instructions in the tutorial.
- Get an SSH public/private key.
- If you do not already have one, generate an SSH public/private key pair. Windows users:
- Use PuTTY's key generator to generate an SSH2 key (RSA and DSA are both fine).
- Save the public and private keys to files.
- Linux users should use OpenSSH's ssh-keygen.
- If you do not already have one, generate an SSH public/private key pair. Windows users:
- Email David
- Send your email address, preferred Linux login name, and your ssh public key to David Connell.
- David will setup a tycoon account for you on 15.0.114.50.
- Log into 15.0.114.50 using an ssh client.
- Your login name is the login name that you send to David.
- If you're connecting from windows via PuTTY, tweak your key and configure PuTTY with your private key.
- Your ssh account is set to use public key authentication only, so you do not have a password, although you might be prompted for the pass phrase of your ssh public key.
